Surrounding Lands Empty Surrounding Lands

Here is a small map of the lands around Port McVentor.

Each hex represents about 4 hours worth of travel (based on a Movement value of 4, which is standard for most species).

4 hours worth of travel by which means? Foot, horseback or a drunken crawl?

Updated with the means of travel.

But Drunken Crawl is a good option. While slower, you ignore difficult terrain (don't quote me on this in game).

CITIES
Port McVentor - Second largest city in Iloric, and home to The Adventurer's Guild.
Allova - Fourth largest city in Iloric, plagued by poor coastal waters and close proximity to the Spine Rift Mountains.

TOWNS
Inverness - Small lay over port, eking out an existence in the Northern Expanse. Primary Exports - Pearls & Glass.
Erith - Small lay over port, eking out an existence in the Northern Expanse. Primary Exports - Gold & Copper.
Colkirk - Major Stop, mid distance between Port McVentor & Allova, and regular stop before final push when travelling from Velstra to Port McVentor. Primary Exports - Wine.
Longdale - Major farming town, provides significant food to Port McVentor, Allova and the Ilorican captial, Velstra. Primary Exports - Food.
Wheldrake - Farming town, primarily producing livestock. Name taken from nearby forest. Primary Exports - Livestock.
Gormsey - River Town, popular location for those looking to avoid the roads north, but travel through the Wheldrake Forest is fraught with danger. Primary Exports - Fish.
Black Hollow - Old lumber town, declining in popularity and population. Primary Exports - Lumber.
Fallholt - Lumber town, starting to boom with Black Hollow's decline. Primary Exports - Lumber.
Rochdale - Mining and frontier town, sitting on the edge of the Spine Rift Mountains sees plenty of danger, but also plenty of rewards with rich veins nearby. Primary Exports - Silver & Lead.
Larnwick - Major town, last stop when travelling from the northern areas of Iloric to Velstra. This town has a larger standing garrison than most, as it is home to the Iloric Mint when the various currency denominations of Iloric is produced. Primary Exports - Minted Currency.

FORTS, KEEPS & CASTLES
Kaerndal Fort - Naval Fort overlooking and patrolling the ocean from the Northern Expanse.
Draydon Fort - Huge fort that has stood strong against every attack to come down from the Spine Rift Mountains.
Bryalshire Keep -Southerly keep that has remained steadfast against most attacks from the Spine Rift Mountains. During the last attack to descend from the Spine Rift Mountains Bryalshire Keep fell. It has since been recaptured, and has slowly been rebuilt, but concerns linger of its defensive capabilities should another attack come too soon.
